What is IAQ?

IAQ stands for Indoor Air Quality. There are several things that can be added to a heating/cooling system that can improve the quality of the air in a home. Here are just a few items:

  • Humidifier
  • Dehumidifier
  • High Efficiency air filter
  • Air Purifier that installs in the return air duct work

HVAC stands for Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning, which pretty much covers all the ways to condition the inside of a building.

My kitchen faucet drips and drives me nuts. Can it be fixed?


Many kitchen faucets can be repaired by replacing the cartridge. Depending on the age of the faucet, it may need to be replaced. We can do either one.

How does a tankless water heater work?


We sell and service the Navien brand of tankless water heater. Basically it is a wall mounted gas water heater (works with either natural or propane gas) that does not utilize the massive storage that a standard water does. Why should I have my furnace serviced every year?


Whether it is a forced air furnace, hot water boiler, geothermal unit, air to air heat pump, or electric furnace, they all need to be checked once a year for your families’ safety and well being. Dirty filters, low water pressure, worn belts, and the like are all preventable problems waiting to happen. Newer style high efficiency furnaces are even more needful of a yearly checkup because of the extra controls and safeties installed by the manufacturers.

  • Keeping debris and clutter away from the furnace will help prevent any possible fire hazard.


What can I do to keep my air conditioner in good shape?


There are many things that a home owner can do to keep your air conditioner running the best that it can.


  • First of all, a clean air filter is the top most important thing a home owner can do.
  • Having your air conditioner serviced by a qualified service person once a year.
  • Keeping grass clippings and cottonwood tree fluff rinsed off of the outdoor unit. NEVER use a pressure washer! (a gentle spray with the garden hose is fine).
  • Keeping bushes trimmed back away from the air conditioner (at least 3 feet) will allow it to breathe and get rid of the hot air that used to be in your home.
